Patrick B. McGrath, PhD, is the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) for NOCD and a licensed clinical psychologist. As CCO, Dr. McGrath oversees NOCD’s clinical protocols and team of OCD specialists. Dr. McGrath specializes in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, OCD, hoarding, school refusal, and trauma. He has extensive clinical experience treating and providing supervision for complex OCD cases.

Dr. McGrath earned his doctoral degree from Northern Illinois University and completed his two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute’s Anxiety Disorders Center. Prior to working with NOCD, Dr. McGrath opened and led a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive hospitalization program (IOP), and a residential program focused on the treatment of OCD and related anxiety disorders at a large behavioral health hospital.

Dr. McGrath is a published author and has been featured as a subject expert in several publications, podcasts, and television series. He is an experienced educator and enjoys getting to teach and consult with mental health professionals every day as they grow in their own areas of expertise.
