Potential Conflicts of Interest

NOCD is committed to the identification and resolution of potential conflicts of interest in the planning, promotion, delivery, and evaluation of continuing education.  A policy and procedure is in place to address potential conflicts of interest.  Disclosure statements can be found on each course’s informational page along with presenter information.

Online Security and Record Retention

NOCD ensures the online security of its participant information by offering it’s courses through software that  provides secure cloud hosting and daily backups. Registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time on the platform.  Website administrators can also see and edit that information.  Registered users should be aware that they cannot change their usernames once created.

Registered users can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about them, including any data they have provided to us. They can also request that NOCD erase any personal data we hold about them. This does not include any data the organization is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

NOCD retains the following information for each activity and course for a minimum of 7 years. The information is on software platforms that provide secure cloud hosting and daily backups. The CE Director is able to retrieve the records 24/7.
