Dr. Mia Nuñez is a Clinical Director for NOCD and a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Nuñez leads the West Region of mental health professionals to ensure clients receive high-quality psychological services. Dr. Nuñez has extensive experience with OCD, anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. She is known for her approachable teaching and consultation style which is showcased in her NOCD Academy courses.

Dr. Nuñez received specialized training in cognitive-behavioral therapy from Northwestern University's Anxiety Disorders Treatment Clinic. She was also a member of Northwestern University's Anxiety Laboratory and the Anxiety and Panic Laboratory at the Family Institute at Northwestern University. She continued to build her expertise in the cognitive-behavioral treatment of mood and anxiety disorders during her predoctoral psychology internship at the APPIC-accredited Rogers Behavioral Health Hospital.

Dr. Nuñez previously worked as a supervising psychologist for several inpatient and residential specialty programs. As a supervising psychologist, Dr. Nuñez supervised therapists in their delivery of cognitive-behavioral treatment for anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She also personally provided cognitive-behavioral treatment for complex cases.
