What is NOCD Academy?
NOCD Academy is our accredited continuing education program. NOCD Academy offers live CE webinars and home study CE courses that can help support ongoing continuing education obligations for licensing. We are proud to offer live CE webinars and home study CE courses to NOCD Therapists and the public. Our goal is to help mental health professionals expand their clinical skills and elevate their practice with our free continuing education courses taught by field experts.
Is NOCD Academy the same as NOCD University?
No. NOCD University is our internal training program that occurs during onboarding (NOCD University is not accredited). You may experience some times when the two programs merge and you can earn CE credit for onboarding training. These opportunities will be clearly marked.
What am I expected to do for this task?
Participate in a pilot test for a new home study CE course.
Why do we have to do pilot tests for our CE program?
CE accrediting organizations require pilot tests for home study CE courses to make sure the process runs smoothly and the course is the best it can be. This is where you come in. You'll preview one of our upcoming home study CE courses and provide us with feedback to improve the learning experience and course content. We'll use your valuable feedback to make improvements before we officially release each course.
What’s involved in a pilot test?
You'll watch a training video, provide your opinion and feedback, and track your time. The pilot test program will guide you through all of the steps.
How long will this take?
We anticipate that it will take a maximum of 2-3 hours to complete each pilot test. Ideally, you will complete each course in one sitting; however, you can pause and return to resume the course at a later time.
When is the deadline to complete this task?
We request that you complete this task during the time it is assigned on your onboarding calendar or within 48 hours of the task being assigned. Can't make the deadline? Please email Olivia Upton at [email protected]
Do I need to let you know when I am done with this task?
No, we're able to track your progress.
Will I receive CE credit for participating in the pilot test?
No, pilot tests do not include CE credit. The certificate you see at the end is for demonstration purposes only. Believe us, we wish we could offer you credit now! You can earn CE credit later by taking the course again after it is officially released as a CE-approved course.

I’m ready. How do I get started?
1) Look above to see if we are actively running a pilot test. If there is a course listed, click on it. This will take you to the course landing page.
2) Preview the course landing page then enroll in the course by clicking the ENROLL FOR FREE button.
3) Register for the NOCD Academy website using your nocdhelp.com email address or login to your existing account. Create your password. Once registered, the pilot test task will automatically start.
4) Complete the pilot test.
