Managing Our Own Perfectionism & Anxiety in the Work We Do with Taylor Newendorp, MA, LCPC

Course Description

Therapists often hold themselves to exceptionally high standards. While dedication strengthens our work, perfectionism and anxiety can quietly shape clinical decisions, delay exposure work, and increase burnout.

This talk explores how our own perfectionistic tendencies show up in therapy—especially in ERP—and how to respond in ways that model flexibility, confidence, and tolerance of uncertainty. Participants will gain practical strategies to reduce self-doubt and embrace a more collaborative, imperfect, and effective approach to treatment.
