Aneela Idnani is HabitAware’s Co-Founder + President. Having grown up with hair pulling disorder (trichotillomania), Aneela is a TEDx speaker and entrepreneur, raising awareness of these very common, yet little-known conditions. At HabitAware she co-invented a smart bracelet that brings real-time awareness to trance-like Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs). HabitAware is a TIME Magazine “Best Invention” and Fast Company “World Changing Idea.” Aneela is an award-winning leader who founded BFRB Changemakers Non-Profit to support the BFRB community and her memoir with New Harbinger Publications, arrives in 2025.

Ellen Crupi

Ellen is the Director of Business Development & Awareness at HabitAware. She is also a mental health activist and BFRB peer coach committed to educating and reducing the stigma around mental health and BFRBs. She is a BFRB expert trained in Yale University's SPACE program (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions). Ellen has been in recovery from trichotillomania for 7+ years.
