Recognizing and Treating Generalized Anxiety Disorder

WITH MIA NUÑEZ, PhD

Course Description

The presenter will describe the cognitive-behavioral model of GAD and then guide participants through treatment with an emphasis on the use of behavioral interventions. Special topics include rumination, intolerance of uncertainty, the role of safety behaviors, and how to create an exposure hierarchy. Illustrative case examples will be used throughout to demonstrate concept and application.
