Amy Jacobsen, PhD

Dr. Jacobsen received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2005 from The University of Georgia, with specific emphases in child psychology and the study and treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD. She completed her internship in Clinical Psychology at SUNY Upstate Medical University and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Child Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Jacobsen also served as an Assistant Professor in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at Hoglund Brain Imaging Center/University of Kansas Medical Center, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Jacobsen is currently in private practice and offers specialty evidence-based services for anxiety and obsessive compulsive spectrum conditions. She also serves as a board member for OCD Kansas, the local non-profit affiliate of the International OCD Foundation, dedicated to raising awareness about obsessive-compulsive and related disorders and building a community to support those affected.
